What is Music Therapy?

AMTA Official Definition of Music Therapy

Music Therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Music therapy interventions can address a variety of healthcare & educational goals:

Group Music Therapy Sessions

1-on-1 Music Therapy Sessions

1-on-1 music therapy sessions are individualized sessions, working toward specific goals and objectives through singing, instrument playing, movement to music, and other modalities.

Workshops & Presentations

Melodies of Life also provides workshops, in-servcies, and presentations for healthcare workers and community groups. Presentations are interactive and engaging with hands-on music experiences.
